  First Night Columbus - New Years Eve Celebration   Ohio Boat & RV Show
On New Year's Eve, into the new year, there are celebrations throughout downtown Columbus with a variety of different types of performances.    
Held at the Ohio Expo Center, this show showcases boats and recreational vehicles.  
             
  February 
   Central Ohio Home and Garden Show   Orchid Forest
Held at the Ohio Expo Center, over 375 exhibitors show everything you need to know about homes and gardens.    
The Franklin Park Conservatory shows its incredible variety of orchids in a wide array of colors.  
             
   March
  Blooms and Butterflies at Franklin Park   Columbus International Auto Show
Over 100 different types of butterflies will be emerging from their cocoons at Franklin Park. The butterflies are then released into the Pacific Island Water Garden area of the park.    
Held at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, this is a great show for auto lovers from around the world. Among other events, there is a “guess the crushed car”  contest.

   Columbus Horse Expo   Short North Gallery Hop
Taking place at the Ohio Expo Center, the Columbus Horse Expo features breed information, horse racing in an unusual obstacle course, and horse equipment.    
This is a short preview of the vibrant arts district including street performances, gallery exhibitions, food, and music.

  Veterans Open NAICCO Memorial Day Pow Wow   RiverFest
Veterans open the Memorial Day events by dancing into the Pow Wow which is followed by vendors selling hand-made crafts, food vendors, music, and a focus on family health.    
RiverFest celebrates the waterways of Columbus and their environmental role in the city.  
             
   June
   Annual Roy Rogers Festival   Columbus Arts Festival
Fans of Roy Rogers gather in nearby Portsmouth to celebrate cowboy fun and watch old Roy Rogers movies as well as celebrate all things Roy Rogers.    
Held mostly along the Scioto River's east side, this festival showcases visual arts.  
             
  July
   Red, White, and Boom   North Market Food and Wine Festival
Residents and Visitors alike gather at the river front for the biggest fireworks display in the area for Independence Day.    
The North Market and the Ohio Wine Producers Association present this event where visitors can taste a variety of wines and enjoy fine food to go along with it.  
             
   August
  Jazz and Blues RibFest   Ohio State Fair Annual Farmers Festival
Olde Pickerton Village hosts a ribs competition. To keep it lively, there is live blues and jazz music playing.    
The festival includes a lot of local vendors including restaurants downtown.  
             
  September
  Classic Car Cruise-In   Annual Antiques & Gardeners Fair
Classic cars are on display the weekend before Labor Day at the New Life Church Gahanna.    
Held at the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Garden, this fair caters towards antique collectors and those with green thumbs.  
             
   October
  Breast Cancer Awareness Ride   Halloween Pet Parade
There are 10 and 25 mile bike rides for novices and better riders at any pace to help raise money for breast cancer research.    
Dogs and cats in costume parade around Easton Town Center looking to be adopted.  
             
  November
  Columbus Kidney Walk   Ohio Environmental Council's Green Gala
Starting at the Ohio State House, this walk is presented by the National Kidney Foundation and raises money for the foundation.    
This is the gala dinner and awards ceremony celebrating those who are working to protect Ohio's environment.  
             
  December
  A Dickens of a Christmas   Homes for the Holidays
Ohio Historical Center re-created a Charles Dickens Christmas, including plum pudding and humbug pie.    
There are tours of historic homes that allow visitors to see how these homes are set for the holiday season,
