Columbus Attractions
Columbus, Ohio is a great place to visit, and there's plenty to see. Whether you're looking for indoor activities like museums or outdoor activities like gardens and parks, there is plenty to see in Columbus. Rain or shine, Columbus offers great opportunities for children and adults to have fun and learn.

Center of Science and Industry
The Center of Science and Industry, called COSI, is the Columbus science museum, and it's considered a fantastic science museum. Visitors can participate in a variety of activities, including a simulation of their face being aged, creating a newscast, and water experiments.

Book Loft
With 32 rooms, this is a book lover's delight. The Book Loft is a unique book shop where you'll find pretty much any book you could possibly want. The rooms are cozy and shoppers are invited to lose themselves among the shelves. There is always music playing, and the atmosphere is relaxing. If you prefer the outdoors, you can purchase your books and take them to the coffee shop next door to read.

The Central Ohio Fire Museum and Learning Center
Laid out in a former fire station, the Fire Museum has a play area, a display of a burned out room, and a variety of exhibits and activities focusing on fire safety.

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
While the orchids only bloom in the first three months of the year, there are always beautiful flowers to look at, as well as a large area to walk through to soothe the senses. Be sure to see the light and glass exhibits by artists James Turrell and Dale Chihuly, respectively. The Conservatory is closed on Mondays.

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium
The Columbus Zoo is actually three attractions in one: Zoombezi Bay is a great water park with slides, wave pools, and other attractions for children and adults. The Safari Golf Course is a full-featured golf course with a pro shop and a grill as well as a driving range for golfers. The Columbus Zoo itself features a wide variety of domestic and exotic animals, including reptiles, mammals, amphibians, and birds.

Shiller Park
Shiller Park is 24 acres of park, featuring basketball courts, tennis courts, a softball field, a fishing pond, flower gardens, an amphitheater, and a playground for the younger set to blow off steam. This is a great place to relax on a nice day, especially if you're vacationing with small children who don't do well in museums.

Schrock's Amish Farm
Visitors can see farm animals up close, ride in a horse-drawn buggy, see a chicken coop, examine a vegetable garden, see a grape arbor, and see how the Amish live without electricity and without many modern conveniences, yet still enjoy full lives. This is a great family activity as there is plenty to see, and children are allowed to touch some of the animals.

Cloak and Dagger Dinner Theater
If you fancy entertainment while you dine, this is certainly the place to go. The food is rated as average, and the acting is a little amateurish, but it's a great experience if you can let go and just enjoy the experience. This is a highly recommended experience if you're with a large group of friends as their tables seat ten.
